A nursing home insurance
policy is a contract
between you and an insurance company. In exchange for premium
payments you make, the company may reimburse you (for an eligible claim) for
the cost of covered nursing home care services when you need them.
Nursing home insurance helps cover the cost of services for
people who have an inability to perform certain activities of
daily living (ADL's) or a severe cognitive impairment.
A nursing home insurance plan
can help protect your financial independence and help preserve
your quality of life by allowing you to receive care:
- In your own home, if medically
appropriate.
- In a qualified nursing home
facility you select.
